Weimar members’ meeting and visit to Al Shama Arabians, of the Felton family, postponed until 2027!
Dear members,
Unfortunately, we must inform you today that we have to cancel the planned members’ meeting on 5–6 September 2026 in Weimar and at the Al Shama Stud farm of Dr Christina Felton and her family.
The number of participants registered so far is so low that, in consultation with the Felton family, we have decided to postpone this members’ meeting and stud farm presentation until next year.
We would now like to focus on the Annual General Meeting on 21 November 2026 in Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe, at which we intend to hold fruitful discussions and pass resolutions together: the election of a new Chairperson, by-elections to the Executive Committee, and plans for future activities aimed at raising our profile and attracting new members to the Asil Club and its objectives.
The programme will be complemented by interesting expert presentations, as well as a tribute to the founder, Dr W. Georg Olms, his vision and his life’s work, which has shaped Arabian horse breeding and continues to have an international impact.
We will announce the exact venue and agenda for 21 November shortly. The invitation is currently being prepared.
We will send out the invitation, featuring an attractive programme for the 2027 members’ meeting at Al Shama, in good time.
We regret that the cancellation had to be made at very short notice due to this year’s circumstances.
For a horse presentation under saddle and in hand, good conversations, one or two expert lectures and the all-important and universally appreciated personal interaction, a larger gathering is very important to us. This also applies to the hosts and their commitment to ensuring a successful members’ meeting.
