Invitation to the Annual General Meeting and our first Futurity Workshop

Dear Asil Club members,

Together we mourn the loss of our founder and first chairman, Dr W. Georg Olms, and wish to pay tribute to him at our Annual General Meeting.
Over the past few weeks, the active members of the Executive Committee have met on several occasions to discuss the future direction of our Asil Club.
We have developed a number of viable ideas which we would like to discuss with you in a futurity workshop following the general meeting. In small, topic-based groups, everyone will have the opportunity to contribute their thoughts and ideas; we therefore hope for a lively turnout so that, together with you, we can lead the breeding and conservation of the Asil Arabian into a new era.
We have identified the following areas in which we wish to discuss the future direction of the Asil Club: knowledge gathering and transfer, cultural heritage, horse and human, communication, events.

However, the agenda first includes the formalities: appointing additional board members, passing the necessary resolutions regarding the running of the club, electing a new president and vice president, etc.

Venue: Schlosshotel Kassel-Wilhelmshoehe, Schlosspark 8, 34131 Kassel, Germany, Phone +49 (0) 561 30 88-0, Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Date: Saturday, 21 November 2026, from 11:00 am

Please register as soon as possible so that we can plan and reserve a sufficiently large room and tables in the restaurant.
Anyone wishing to stay at the conference hotel (4*) or its sister hotel, the Schweitzer Hof (3*), should book shortly.
After the formalities and reports, there will be a light lunch for everyone. We will then begin the workshop. In the evening, we’d like to round off the day with a cosy dinner together (at your own expense).
For further accommodation options, see the list.

We look forward to seeing you

On behalf of the Executive Board
Yours sincerely

Dr Astrid von Velsen-Zerweck
